Dr. Ching-Pin Chang is volunteering as Liu Foundation’s Medical Advisory Committee Chairman. He spent more than 20 years at Stanford University on cardiovascular health research with over 39 publications. Dr. Chang is certified by American Board of Internal Medicine for Cardiovascular Disease.
Media & Public Health Advisor
Erin Stair, MD, MPH, is the founder of bloomingwellness.com, creator of ZENBands, host of the Causes or Cures podcast and author of Manic Kingdom: A True Story of Breakdown and Breakthrough. After completing her Bachelors of Science, Chemistry at the United States Military Academy at West Point, she went on to obtain a Master of Public Health at New York University.
Medical Advisory
Xin Wang, MD, is a volunteer with The Liu Foundation. He grew up in Shandong, China, and is a general practitioner specializing in preventing and treating chronic diseases and rehabilitating sports injuries. He has a strong interest in working with chronic disease and rehabilitation. He enjoys working with chronic disease prevention and treatment, like hypertension and diabetes, because it is a condition where good medical care and patient education can make a big difference in people’s lives, especially in chronic diseases.
Director of Media Relations
Jiayu is an experienced media Producer, anchor, TV host, Radio host, program coordinator, and reporter. She is the Producer and Host of “Bay Area Good Voice” for Bay Area Chinese Radio (灣區中文電台「灣區好聲音」). She holds a Bachelor’s in Radio/Television from National Chengchi University in Taiwan, and Masters degree in Mass Communication/Journalism from San Jose State University.
Chairwoman of Business Development Committee
Jacque is volunteering as Liu Foundation’s Chairwoman of Business Development Committee. She served as the President of TamKang University Association of Northern California in 2019 and as the CFO of many startups. She holds a Masters in Accounting and MBA in Management Information Systems.
Director of Youth Program
Dr. Sophia Chen is volunteering as Liu Foundation’s Director of Youth Program. She served as a research associate in Department of Mathematics and Department of Health and Research Policy at Stanford University. Her research topic and academic publications focus on statistical models in bioinformatics.
Founder & President
Joe Liu is a Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur, who started the Liu Foundation with a vision to benefit humanity with his entrepreneurial and technical expertise. Liu started his first company Techlink Co. in 1984. He then co-founded Oplink Communications in 1995, lead the IPO in 2000, and acquisition by Molex/Koch Industries in 2014. Liu angel invested in numerous high-tech companies, guided them to successful exits, and contributed tremendously to the growth of IT industry.
Program Director
Ray is responsible for leading and executing programs at Liu Foundation. He is experienced in product management and business development. He holds a B.S. degree with honors in Business Administration, Management Information Systems from San Jose State University.
